..........If Pakistan is fomenting terrorism in India, then an American travel advisory to its citizens to take evasive action against lurking attackers in the country should not be ignored. However, Indian officials believe that the US embassy advice had overstated the fears. They insist that India is as safe as any country for tourists to feel comfortable to visit. Clearly both opinions can’t be right. Something’s got to give. And hopefully it’s the prejudice. ...............

I love this guy's conspiracy theories and prejudice against anything Hindu. But the last paragraph on American travel advisory got me thinking:

Here you go and see the chronology of events:

1) Pakistan asks India to move troops from border to help them “fight” against Taliban
2) US says it agrees with Pakistan
3) India REFUSES
4) Pakistan releases LET chief
5) US fakes concern about Mumbai Attack
6) In that pretext, US puts on American travel advisory in the hope pressure India using Multinationals and big business (your favourite scapegoats)
7) India is in its back foot (the morons who run our external affairs ministry did not see it coming)
8) Journalists like you savour (did you say yammy ?)

Is it not that a nice theory ? Even has all some of ingredients you like.

But seriously you need to change the way you write otherwise you will be only talking to the converted (no pun intended).

What happened in Lebanon and why

....The Egyptian Arab paper Akhbar Al-Yaum published an article on June 7, 1947, under the title ‘Adversary of Gandhi Speaks’. The author, Taqiuddinn Al-Solh, asked Jinnah to explain the difference between the partition of India, supported by Jinnah, and the partition of Palestine that he opposed.Jinnah replied: “The case is very different. We are here ever since the existence of the country and we have been its rulers; no one has ever denied our rights therein. We did not come to the country merely a quarter of a century ago to banish its owners from it with force and aggression.”

So if Israel manages to rule for some more years already added 35 more years after the article was written they will have right on the land. Ofcourse forgeting the fact the Israelis were the original inhabitants before even Islam existed.

Shows what a hypocrite Jinah was.

COMMENT: The secret of South East Asian prosperity is peace —Ishtiaq Ahmed

Malaysia is a fascinating country. I will elaborate its achievements in a number of future articles. Here I would confine myself to the general nature of that country. Although Malaysia is officially a Muslim country its Muslim population is not more than 50 percent. Its eastern zone, separated by the sea from the western peninsula, comprises several dozen small tribes. The Chinese minority is a large one, making up 23.7 percent of the population while Indians (mostly Tamils but also ubiquitous Sikhs) constitute 11 percent of the population. Malaysian law strictly forbids exploitation of religion and race for political purposes. This has resulted in a political culture that is pragmatic and tolerant. The literacy rate is 88.7 per cent, 92 percent for men and 85.4 per cent for women. Malaysia is now producing and exporting electronic goods on a large scale. It is also developing the tourism sector very skilfully.

The author skilfully ignores the fact that Malyasia is the last remaining apathied country in the world. malayasia legally discriminates against more than 50% of itsw population the non-muslim malays.

How many F-16s does Hezbollah have?

Given these shining military exploits it ill-behoves a Pakistani military man to speak disparagingly about Lebanon when Lebanon -- a country scarcely bigger than Sargodha and Rawalpindi divisions combined -- has shown more guts than we can imagine.

Hezbollah has no F-16s, no anti-aircraft defences to speak of, yet it has fought the might of the Israeli army for four weeks and continues to stand up to it. No Arab army has shown as much grit, none has fought Israel this long. .

The Colombian mafia also does not have F16s and the US and the colombian army is stuck fighting with them for the last 20 years could not finish them off. Thats what Hizbullah is a mafia selling death instead of drugs.

Mr Amir needs to decide whether Hizbullah represents Lebanon or not, if it represents Lebanon then the Israeli destruction of Lebanon is justified as they are at war, if not it is a Mafia, the Lebanon state should try to uproot the death cartel, just as the Columbians try to uproot the Drug cartel.

The only way to emasculate the enemies of peace is to remove the cause that gives them the excuse to kill innocent people in Kashmir and elsewhere. Over the years, many proposals for a peaceful resolution of this intractable problem have been floated. Surely one of them should be acceptable to the three parties.

... I am as secular in my thinking, if not more than most other people. I was born a Muslim but as is not uncommon in any religion, I count myself among those who have never been very particular about observing the rituals of the faith. Indeed, some of my personal habits are such as not to accord with anyone’s definition of correct Muslim behaviour. I also don’t like the intrusion of religion into politics and find the average maulvi’s ready stock of pomposity and hypocrisy amusing.My secularism, however, collides with an unpleasant reality: the picture of the Islamic world in thrall to American power, Muslim elites dancing to America’s tune, Muslim countries little better than satellites orbiting around the US. I see this in my own country where there is too much American influence, much of it of the wrong kind. If the Muslim world is to progress, this bondage has to be broken.Even democracy won’t come to the Muslim world unless this influence is overthrown. It’s one of the biggest myths of our time that America wants democracy to flourish in the lands of Islam. How can it when democracy doesn’t suit its interests? If we have popular governments in Muslim countries the first thing they will demand is an end to American hegemony. .....

personally I have not seen anything secular about Mr Amir if someone has please tell me. And also

Think of a reverse situation. The RSS froms a militant organisation and starts lobbing rockets at Pakistan and kidnaps Pakistani solders - They ask for prison exchange - the soldiers against the Dawood Ibrahim, - Indian Govt pleads helplessness. How would the Pakistani Govt react ?

The articles I would mention are prominent south Asian Muslims who consider themselves as liberals. I would not link the Al-Qaida types for being honest about their feelings. This is just a site to expose the so called Muslim moderates (PBUT).
